What is Eco Resin? This is a versatile modified gypsum composite material used in fine arts, crafts, and construction. It's often praised for its eco-friendly properties, as it's water-based and non-toxic. Eco Resin is also known for its durability, with its stone-like appearance. However, it is considered to be much lighter than stone and concrete, which makes it a popular choice for a wide range of projects.
Is Eco Resin safe? We use a high quality non-toxic eco resin which enables us to safely create a wide range of products. Our items are finished with either food grade natural wax or water-based sealant depending on the purpose of the item. The sealant was designed with both indoor and outdoor use in mind and provides exceptional heat resistance up to 100°C, making it perfect for coasters, trays, candle jars and tea light holders.
How to look after my Eco resin products? Caring for eco resin is relatively straightforward, but here are a few tips to keep your items looking their best:
Avoid harsh cleaning chemicals and abrasives. These may damage the surface or the sealer.
Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe over your items. Do not submerge or soak your items and dry thoroughly.
It is advised to wipe away spillages as soon as possible.
Eco resin products are NOT dishwasher or microwave safe.
Handle with care. Despite its durability, eco resin can chip or break if dropped.
Avoid extreme conditions. All products are handmade and may contain naturally occurring air bubbles. To prolong the finish and colours keep out of direct sunlight.
